Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we are currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Medicare. All other insurance providers are considered out-of-network, which means our therapists do not bill them directly. However, we can provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

Important details to note about insurance:

  • Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis for therapy to be covered.

  • Couples therapy is often not covered, unless it addresses a clinical diagnosis for one partner.

  • Topics like communication, relationship growth, or life transitions may not qualify as "medically necessary" in the eyes of insurance.

  • We’re happy to ask your insurer about coverage—but we can’t guarantee their response.

Please feel free to reach out if you need help understanding your benefits. We know insurance can be confusing and frustrating.

How do I start?

We know that some might feel a bit anxious to start therapy. Don’t worry, we want to make this as smooth of a beginning for you as possible. You can schedule a free 20-minute consultation to ask questions, connect with a therapist, and decide if they’re the right fit for you. If you’re ready to start ASAP, reach out to the therapist that you would like to work with directly and schedule your first appointment at their soonest available opening. Intake forms will be sent to you electronically once you’ve provided your email and phone number. You arrive at your first appointment with no paperwork to complete, you’ll start therapy right away!

Do you provide faith-based therapy?

Yes, when requested. Our top priority is to provide ethical, professional, and personalized counseling. Many of our clients appreciate integrating their faith or spiritual beliefs into therapy. Our therapists are trained to ethically incorporate faith-based therapy when appropriate—always based on your preferences and goals. If you do not want faith integrated into your care, that’s respected too.

What is a therapy intensive?

A therapy intensive is a focused session lasting 3 hours to multiple days (6–7 hours/day). It’s ideal for clients who want to make significant progress in a short amount of time, focus deeply without weekly session breaks or work through complex issues like trauma, grief, or relational repair.

While not a “quick fix,” intensives can accelerate healing and are a great alternative or supplement to weekly therapy.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, credit cards as well as HSA and FSA cards.

How often will I meet with my therapist?

We work with you to create a therapy schedule that fits your life. Most clients meet:

  • Weekly (especially during a crisis or high-need season)

  • Biweekly for steady progress
Frequency is always tailored to your goals and needs.

What are your fees?

Session fees range from $150–$200, based on the therapist’s licensure and experience.
We offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots as part of our commitment to the community. If you’re facing financial hardship, ask your therapist about availability or other referral options.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy length varies by individual, their needs or goals. Some clients prefer short-term, goal-focused therapy (6–12 sessions), while others choose ongoing support for deeper or long-term concerns. We'll collaborate with you to determine the best plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
